14 Months

My little AP is now 14 months old!

How big...
At her last appointment three weeks ago (due to a hand foot mouth check-up), she was 18lbs. Yes, she still continues to be a little peanut and is wearing 9 month outfits (she turned 9 months in January). This could lead to why she is so difficult much fun during dinner. No matter what we feed her, she will end dinner with a lot of screaming and crying. Once you get her out of her high chair, she is happy as a clam! She loves her 'snacks' and will get very excited when you give her gerber nutri grain bars or cheerios.

Personality
Ashleigh is a hoot. She is FULL of energy. From the moment she wakes up until the moment we try to put her down to bed, she is on the go. She is very squirmy and active. She loves to climb everything and will move around the house like it is her job.

Cute and Funny AP moments...

a. She definitely understands doggie toys vs Ashleigh toys. She will pick up a dog toy (rope or stuffed bone) and say "doggie" and walk it over to Porscha or Lexi. The dogs get very freaked out because she is so full of energy and usually just run from her. She loves her puppy sisters so much!
b. She is in love with her bubble maker (a birthday gift from Aunt Kelly). At this point, we don't even fill it with bubbles, she just likes to press the button and dance with the dancing flower. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
c. She loves to touch my picture frames. You will see her walk to one side of the room and pick up a photo frame. When we tell her 'no', she gives you a huge smile and will walk over and hand the frame to you.
d. She has learned how to wave. When I leave the house every morning with her, I will tell her to say goodbye to the doggies. She will start to wave her little hand and say "hi/bye" (it kind of sounds the same), but we will take it!
e. She is a bit stubborn. We took her out for ice cream last Friday and lesson learned, don't ever take away her ice cream. Once she was done her tiny bowl, she was not happy. I took her out of her high chair so she could walk around and someone had a major melt down. She was so bad, we had to leave. She was kicking her legs/arms to the point I couldn't hold her. Even a customer turned to us and said, "Aww, terrible two's?" Ummm not for another year, we must be in trouble!
f. She loves her toys! Ashleigh will do very well playing on her own to a certain point. For the first time, we put her in her playroom and Rob and I had the opportunity to both sit and enjoy dinner. Although the peace didn't last for more than 5-7 minutes (plus me taking breaks to check on her), it was definitely cute to see her in her own little world playing with her kitchen set or new Elmo Restaurant.
