Winning....DUH!

Last night, Rob and I took Ashleigh mini golfing for the first time. She had an excellent time and served as our score keeper throughout our game. Mommy was the big winner last night!

Father's Day Celebration

Our Future Cheerleader!

While watching Real Housewives of NJ, Ash got a bit cranky. To help cheer her up, Aunt Kel helped her perform some cheers- which made her very, very happy!

First eye appointment

Ashleigh had her first eye doctor appointment today and she was an excellent patient! Ashleigh has a limbal dermoid in her right eye (extra cells/tissues that have built up around her corneal limbus). There is nothing we can do as of now and we will take her back in one year to monitor the situation. *the ducky that she got from the Doctor for being so good has since been chewed by Lexi and had to be thrown out

Some notes from my Mommy...
Miss AP is doing fabulous! Rob and I are truly falling in love with her more and more each day. Rob has been off of work this week and we are really soaking in each moment with her and having a blast just the three of us (well 6 of us if you count Porscha, Lexi and Cousin Abbie). I am amazed on how much she has changed over the past month! She is much more alert and a lot stronger! She is also "talking a lot"- making these cute squeals/noises and smiling a whole lot as well! We are also seeing small glimpses of what her future personality may consist of. For the most part, laid back, but a bit stubborn at times and when she wants to eat- she means now!

and that was awkward....

As I was video taping Ashleigh during tummy time, she made a few "awkward noises".... :-)

A Stroll Around Strasburg

This past weekend, Rob, Ashleigh and I enjoyed a fabulous day in Strasburg, PA! I am the type of person who has to keep busy and I told Rob we needed to get out of the house! Even though Ashleigh and I make a point to do something fun each day, I am going a bit stir crazy at times!

We started off by giving her a tour of the Historic Strasburg Inn (the same place we got married three years ago). We walked around the venue and even re-created some of our wedding shots. After her tour, we took her to the Strasburg Railroad where she enjoyed her first train ride and Daddy Schab was in his glory! She was an excellent passenger and actually slept the entire time. After the train ride, she enjoyed her first meal out at the Olive Garden and a quick stop at Babies R Us. We look forward to bringing her back again in the fall!

Can you smile for Mommy?

On May 23rd, Ashleigh smiled for the first time! I have now become 'obsessed' with trying to have her smile for me all of the time. I tried to get a clip on video...not the best "smile" on video, but we'll take it!

Adoption Party for Abbie!

This past weekend, my Mom (AKA the doggie babysitter), celebrated Abbie's one year adoption anniversary by throwing a little party for the pups. Unfortunately, Kelly was traveling for work and Rob and I were in Long Island and not able to make the festivities. It appears my mom is an excellent party planner and all of the guests had a great time!

Danielle's Sweet 16

When I first met Rob's little sister Danielle, she was 6 years old and we would play Guess Who for hours! Ten years later, my little sis n law is now the big sweet 16! Danielle's birthday party was ammmazzzing and we all had so much fun dancing the night away. Her Broadway themed party was so creative and she even sang during the father daughter dance-which brought tears to my eyes. Not sure if I'm ready to see her start driving yet...I still see her as the little girl who would show Rob and I her cheerleading routines when I would visit him over breaks....where did the time go?

and this is why I love my in-laws and extended family so much...

First Trip to Long Island

This past weekend, we took Ashleigh on her very first road trip to Daddy's hometown of Long Island! She was an excellent traveler and only cried a tiny bit when she was hungry. She had a wonderful time at her first real party, Aunt Danielle's Sweet 16, (which will be posted soon) and spending time with family and friends on the island. We even stopped by to say hello to our friends and their adorable son who we met on the Party Bus last July in Aruba. Overall, we all had an amazing time and she is excited to return to the island real soon!
